PatchIT shines at Wood Centre LaunchLab Expo

PatchIT, a pioneering cybersecurity AI startup, proudly showcased its innovative product and entrepreneurial spirit at the recent LaunchLab Expo hosted by the John F. Wood Centre at the University of Guelph. The Expo, held on the main floor of the University Centre, provided PatchIT with a platform to exhibit their groundbreaking ideas and connect with industry professionals, mentors, and fellow students.

The LaunchLab Expo marked the culmination of the Hub Incubator LaunchLab program, an intensive initiative aimed at guiding student entrepreneurs through the process of validating their business concepts and acquiring essential skills to establish successful companies. PatchIT, along with seven other carefully selected ventures representing diverse industries including food, agriculture, and technology, were chosen to participate in this transformative program. “We are thrilled to have been a part of the LaunchLab Expo and to have had the opportunity to showcase PatchIT Solutions to a diverse audience,” said the co-founder of PatchIT. “The support and mentorship provided by the Wood Centre have been invaluable in helping us refine our product and take our business to the next level.”

At the Expo, attendees had the chance to interact with PatchITs’ team members, learn about their cutting-edge product PatchLink, and explore potential collaboration opportunities. The event attracted interest from various quarters, with industry professionals, mentors, faculty members, and fellow students showing enthusiasm for PatchITs’ innovative approach to cybersecurity management. “We were delighted to see such keen interest in our product, especially from undergraduates in the School of Computer Science and Engineering,” said the co-founder. “Many students expressed interest in internships with PatchIT, while others showcased their skills through on-the-spot interviews, demonstrating their potential contributions to our company.”

In addition to networking and showcasing their product, PatchIT also received valuable guidance and suggestions for future growth and development. Representatives from research agency Mitacs expressed interest in potential partnerships, while discussions with Communitech highlighted opportunities for collaboration within the tech ecosystem. Furthermore, PatchIT received valuable advice on applying for grants, including the Canada National Research Council grant, which could further fuel the company’s expansion and innovation efforts.
